The State of Arizona has specific criteria you will have to meet to be eligible for the defensive driving course diversion. Below is a list of the criteria, please ensure you meet the list and have the required documents before moving forward with your purchase.

  • You can attend a defensive driving school once within a 12 month period for the date of the last violation
  • You must provide a copy of your driver license
  • Provide a copy of your ticket. If you don’t have a copy of your ticket contact the court. Most courts will email you a copy of your ticket.
  • Must be an eligible moving violation per A.R.S 28-3392(A). Here is a link with the eligible violations
  • An eligible misdemeanor permitted by the court for diversion
  • Cannot be a violation resulting from a collision causing death or serious physical injury defined by A.R.S. 28-3392
  • Not a violation which occurred when the offender held a commercial driver license
  • The Defensive Driving Course must be court ordered
  • All Arizona Courts require the defensive driving course to be completed at least 7 days prior to the due date. If you have any uncertain about the dates, please contact the courts to confirm your eligibility date. In some cases, the courts may provide an extension.

There are also State Fees, state surcharge fees and school fees. The calculator will provide your total amount to have the violation dismissed by the court.
